New Adventures

On Wednesday Terrell and I were able to get out to PF Changs for our three year anniversary. We had a great time together. We ordered A LOT of food. We started with Lettuce wraps as an appetizer. Then we also order Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg rolls, and Chicken fried rice! So much food and it was delicious!

On Thursday I went to my first spinning class at the gym. It was a blast! I loved the workout. It went by fast and you burn a lot of calories. I went to another one on Friday and I loved it even more than the day before. I look forward to doing more this coming week. I want to get a bike so I can do some long distance rides next summer.

Today Terrell and his band ( www.One2wentyOne.com ) had a photo shoot in Minneapolis. So his friend Ced's wife and two kids hung out with me and our kids. We just hung out around the house for hours eating snacks, getting to know each other, and watched the kiddos play. Then when the guys were done, Marcy came over and we all had pizza and watched the guys play video games. Then one by one each of the kids had a meltdown and before I knew it mine were all in bed, Marcy and CaJuan left, Ced and Rashida were loading there kids up, and Terrell fell asleep on the couch! Now it is just me and good ole Sugar Ray.

Tomorrow is church in the morning and some baking in the afternoon! I am making lemon bars and pumpkin bread to bring to small group in the evening!

This week we will have all the kids over MEA starting Wednesday night! I look forward to seeing them. Since school has started we don't get to see them as much during the weekdays as we did during the summer. It is a hard adjustment and we always look forward to their days off from school.

You can download a free song from Terrell's band at www.301studios.net if ya'all are interested! They just keep getting better and better. It's amazing to see how far they have come. They are all so talented!

Hope ya'all had a great weekend so far!

Pictures of Annaleah and Miles

Welome to October

Ok so could Annaleah BE anymore annoying right now? She is so whiney right now! But, I will take this any day over what we experienced Friday. Annaleah had H1n1 AKA Swine Flu. She got worse throughout the day and we ended up in the ER after hours. She has bad asthma so it makes things more complicated when illness arrives and it it also makes illness arrive often. But she has been feeling better though she is still being emotional. Miles is fighting something and so am I. I hope it is just colds and not the flu.

We missed out on quite a few fun events this weekend because we didn't want to expose anyone to what we have over here. My friend Jenni's baby Nolan turned 1 and had his party on Saturday! Happy Birthday Little Man, sorry we couldn't be there!

Today is my mom's birthday. I did go over there for a little bit. They food was awesome- A pork loin that dad made on the grill, au grautin potatoes, and some delicious cheesy bread!

Terrell and his band are playing at our church tonight for the communion service. They have some new band members and I haven't seen them all perform together yet so I am a little bummed that I didn't get to go but....priorities are at home with the sick babies.

This week will brings in a new schedule for me! I am really excited. It will benefit the kids as well as my sanity. I am looking forward to taking some new classes at the gym and doing some new activities with the little ones. Anna and I are going to start swimming on Thursdays. I think she will really like that.

This week brings 3 years of marriage for T and I! I cannot believe that it has been 3 years already. Time really flies as I get older. It is crazy how much 3 years of marriage has brought us. Here is a short list of the big things in the few years:
1). We bought a townhouse
2). We regretted buying the townhouse and sold it :)
3). Bought 2 vehicles together
4). Had 2 babies
5). Got a puppy

There is many more things that have happened in the last three years but that could make for a long list. I don't know what we will do to celebrate. We are planning on doing something on Wednesday and then again on Friday night. We will most likely go to PFChangs one of the days and spend the other at home.

The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. He has got us through some "times"!! We have been encouraged by others who have been there with us through all the ups and downs of our relationship. Thank you to my family who has been extremely supportive and loving. Life is more difficult than we imagine it in our "fairy tale" minds. I would not trade any of it though. I love my husband and my family so very much!

Bad at Blogging

Hi Everyone! This is pretty much the first quiet moment I have had all day. Talaya, Jae, and Annaleah are asleep upstairs, Mac (aka Miles, aka Moe) is asleep on our bed, Terrell is asleep on the couch, Sug is on the carpet (where is is NOT allowed) and I am sitting in this chair. I am totally exhausted but enjoying this peaceful moment. I am pretty sure that if I go into our room to move the baby he will wake up and there will be no sleep for me. Not fun! He has been really crabby all day. Poor lil guy...Mac Millie as Terrell calls him.

I have challenged myself to the 14 day challenge. I am wanting to get back in the groove of working out again since Miles was born. He is now 3 month... which is totally crazy... and I am ready to get back into my old clothes. So I challenged Terrell for us both to work out 14 days in a row. I have 4 down and 10 to go. I am feeling pretty good about it so far but this week is going to be tough.

The kiddos have VBS all week at church. My parents have family friends in town, and then there is the birthday parties to attend, bible study, work, etc.... so I hope to stay committed. Drop me a line of motivation if ya want!

Also again I am looking for simple recipe ideas for dinners. I am horrible at feeding our family super healthy things and should probably get on board with some veggies! I feel guilty :)

Ok I must go to bed....Goodnight

Friday was a great start to the weekend! Terrell had the day off of work so he did a little work on some music and then we went to see Transformers 2. We have been waiting FOREVER for it to come out and finally got to go see it. LOVED IT! Thanks to my parents for watching the little ones while we went out :) After the movie we came home and Talaya, Jaelyn and Arianna came over. Later Marcy, CaJuan, and Arrie-Sky came to hangout.
The kids played together for hours and seemed to have so much fun! It's great to see them all together again! Including Arrie-Sky!! She is CaJuan's four year old daughter. She is super cute! I wish I had taken some pics. Next time. The girls were looking up Michael Jackson videos on the internet. My mom asked me the other day if I think any of my kids will remember/know who Michael Jackson is. Then asked me if that made me feel old! I said Jae knows who he is so therefore I am still young!! Jae and Arianna seemed to know a bunch of his songs.
I still think that it is weird that he died...but I guess we all go sometime and who knows when that will be. We are not promised tomorrow or even the next minute. I am so thankful for the many blessings the Lord has given this family. The Lord continues to provide for us in so many ways. He showers our family with grace. He continues to love us. I was really burdened on Thursday by the deaths of Farrah and Michael, a story my mom told me about a mother who accidently left her 2 year old in the car and she died, and I saw a horrible motorcycle accident. It just reminded me of how the Lord is in total control. All I could do was pray. We need Him more than anything. It's amazing the grace he shows this family. He has protected us on many occasions. If I go through my life there are many ways I can remember he has protected me and my family from when I was a child. It is such a blessing the way he hold this family, with our kids and Terrell, together. We have a unique family dynamic and he holds us strong together with love. For this I am very grateful!

Hello Again

Sugar Ray

Miles at 7weeks old

Annaleah and Miles

Jaelyn and Anna love spending time together!

Talaya at her kindergarten graduation

So it has been forever since I wrote my last blog. I have been thinking about it for the last couple days....so here I am!
A lot has happened since my last post. We got a new dog in Feb. He was about 7 lbs when we got him and he is well over 40lbs now! He is crazy big, well at least from the time we got him. He is half boxer and half something else. They say he will probably be 60-80lbs. HUGE! He is needy and laid back at the same time. Oh I forgot to tell you his name. It's Sugar Ray. Anyways, he is great with the kids but needs around the clock attention though it is hard to give it to him.

In April Miles Lamont was born. He was 7lbs 13oz. He had to stay in the NICU for a week due to some pneumonia. He healed up quick and came home after that and has been doing great ever since. He started smiling last week. Super cute! Of course I would say that since I am his mom. He is getting big and will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. I am amazed at how fast time goes. This time around the whole newborn thing seems a lot easier than last time. He actually sleeps at night!
Annaleah is doing a great job at being a big sister. She gets a little overly worried about Miles sometimes but it's all good. She cries when he cries and tries to shove is pacifier in his mouth. He doesn't always like that. She said her first full understandable sentence the other day when we were in the BK parking lot. It was "Mama, I wanna eat". She loooves eating! She is also pretending to talk on the phone all the time. She says "hewwo, Nanna, wuw woo, bye". That means Hello, Anna, love you, and bye. These are the same things she says to her sister Jaelyn on the phone almost every night when they talk. It's cute when they talk on the phone because Anna has a big smile on her face and sometimes is holding the phone backwards.

Arianna is Terrell's 9year old daughter. We have not seen her more than few times in the last few years, but she reunited with us all a couple weeks ago. She is one of a kind! She is a very funny girl. It has been great watching the kids together. It's awesome how kids can click together again so quickly like no time was lost. Terrell and Miles are going to have their hands full with all of us women....Me, Jaelyn, Arianna, Talaya, and Annaleah!! Wow!!

Summer vacation started for the girls this week. Jaelyn is in summer camps most of the summer but will be here for three full weeks and of course on her weekends. We look forward to the weeks she spends here. She just finished the 4th grade!!
Talaya had her kindergarten graduation last week. It was super cute. They sang songs and had their little caps and walked on stage. I cannot believe that little Talaya is going to be in first grade!!!! She is losing all her teeth and getting her buckys :) She is growing up!!

Terrell is still holding down the job and school thing. He is crazy busy but making it work. CaJuan and him have been doing a lot of shows. They won a spot at the Sonshine Festival. They will be performing their in July. They just put out a new album too. They are working really hard! You can check out some of their stuff at http://www.one2wentyone.com/

Oh and for me....hmmmm...Well I am enjoying my last two weeks off from work. Not like I work that much anyway. I will be going back to Lifetime Fitness and working my part time gig in the child center. Other than that, I am enjoying the sunny warm weather (not these last couple days) but I know more sunshine is on the way. I will try to blog more! Talk to ya later :)

Ending November

We had been planning on going to the game on Friday night to celebrate my 29th birthday with our friends CaJuan and Marcy. CaJuan ended up in the hospital Thursday night due some illness that he has struggled with his whole life. It got really bad this time, and he is still in the hospital. I would give more details, but I don't think it is my place to share all :) Anyways, we visited him there instead of going out with them. He seemed to be feeling better at the time, so we chatted for a while, had some dessert and Terrell and I went to the game alone.

We got to the game at the end of the first quarter and it seemed hopeful that the Timeberwolves might actually make a game out of it. They were playing the Boston Celtics with the return of KG, so it was a big deal. The Wolves blew it though in the third quarter and it was actually pretty disappointing. But oh well. Terrell, Anna and I went to lunch that day at Pizza Luce. It was really good. We shared hot wings and pizza! YUM! Annaleah was so good that day, it must have been her little present to mommy!

CaJuan wasn't feeling good at all on Saturday or Sunday. He was feeling very bad actually. We visited him again on Saturday and that was hard to see him that way. He was moved to the ICU. Today was a hard day for him also, but he looked better, not saying that he felt better, but there is "talk" from the doctors that he might get to go home this week.

It is really hard to see a friend in such trouble with their health. It's sad and really makes me think about the things we take for granted in life. He is in my prayers and we love him very much.

I can't believe how fast November has flown by. It is totally crazy how fast time flies. Next week is already December. WOW! I am looking forward to Terrell having Thursday and Friday off this week and looking forward to Thanksgiving. We find out on Monday if the baby is a boy or a girl. We are totally excited for that!!!!
