Our week so far

Not much going on around here. Keeping busy, but nothing fancy has happened this week. Our friend CaJuan moved out this past Sunday so that has been an adjustment around here. We already miss him and it has only been a few days!

On Monday Annaleah and I went to meet Terrell for lunch. We were on our way to meet Marcy but we were being too slow, so we missed out on that at saw dad instead. It was nice to be able to spend some time with him since we see little of him these days with him being busy with school and work! Tuesday I worked and that wasn't too exciting. Today Anna and I were on time and actually got to hang out with Marcy and Scott. Scott is the little boy she nannies for. We met at Target for lunch and some shopping. Then we went to Cub for a little more shopping! Annaleah was really good today, we didn't lose any shoes or socks at the store.

When we were done shopping I notice Anna's eye was a little messed up. Not really sure what happened, but underneath the eye started to bleed.... so we made a special trip to the doctor. Of course they said they didn't know what was wrong with it and just to watch. I feel like that's the same advice I get everytime they tell me to come in. Which makes me wonder why I continue to go in, but I am a mom and I just want to know that my baby is ok. But some good did come out of the visit... Turns out she has a bad infection in her arm so we got some meds for that. Good thing because I wasn't really noticing that her arm was that bad since she had long sleeves on all day. She has Eczema and it does get really bad on her arms and legs. It used to be on the left side of her face and her forehead, but she grew out of that. Her arms and legs bother her really bad and they get pretty bad/infected often, so I am happy that we got another rx today. Hopefully she will be feeling better by tomorrow, and hopefully the eye gets better too.

Tonight we went to church and then afterwards we went to Applebees with some friends. We just got home about a half hour ago. Anna is now on bed, I am wide awake, and Terrell is asleep on the couch. He still has to write a paper that is due tomorrow, so he will be waking up soon! Oh how I am glad to be done with school. I don't miss those days! That's all for now. Sweet dreams to all!

Happy Birthday Annaleah

Saturday started out with a 5k for Annaleah, Jaelyn, and me. We met up with my brother Chris, his wife Erin, his daughter Norah, Erins mom, Kris, Erins sister Sara and her two kids, Brooke and Jaxson. We walked around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis for the Monster Dash. It was a lot of fun with lots of costumes and candy. We were prepared for the cold, but it really was not that bad.

Following the race we prepared for a birthday party! Annaleah had her 1st birthday this weekend. We celebrated with a Dora the Explorer party on Saturday. She had a blast! A little crabby at first but once the food was brought out, so was her smile! She is so funny about her love for food! The kids dressed up in costumes for the party. Anna was a pumpkin, Talaya a Rockstar Princess, Jaelyn a Vampire Cowgirl, Norah was Hello Kitty, Brooke was a Princess, Jr was a Dinosaur, and Jaxson was Curious George. We ate fried chicken and potatoes and the kids played and watched a short movie. Annaleah was given many great gifts. She really loves them! She got a little baby doll and a stoller that she can walk behind and push. This is really exciting because she had a little lion that does the same thing, and she couldn't do it, but she can do the stoller like a pro! She has been playing with it pretty much nonstop during playtime since she got it. She may be one step closer to walking on her own. She also had her own little chocolate cake to enjoy. Some of you know how much she loves to eat... well she loved it so much, she threw up when she was done! She felt better right away and went back to playing.

Sunday was her real birthday. Annaleah was still really tired from the day before so we didn't do much after church. She napped for a long time until we went to small group at the Coopers in the evening. We were going to do a little celebrating when we got home, but we just watched a little Dora Halloween, played with the new toys and read some of the new books. Shortly after that Anna was ready for bed.

It's crazy how fast the time goes. I cannot believe that she is 1 already. It is so amazing to watch her grow. I was telling Terrell how much I love her last night and it's just so crazy, because I feel like I love her more everyday. I also feel like I need to tell him this everyday! I am so excited to see what this next year brings with her, but I don't want time to just fly by. I want to be able to enjoy every moment of it. I am just so grateful to be blessed with her as my child. A lot changes in a year in the life of a Ferguson. By the time Annaleah turns 2 she will be a big sister! I look forward to watching her grow! Happy Birthday again to my baby girl!

Changes of Life

It's Friday already and I don't know where the week went, but I am not complaining! This week was a very exciting week for our family. We are going through a lot of changes. Terrell was unexpectedly laid off this summer and went back to work with a new job this past Monday for the first time in three or more months. He also started school at the end of September. He is going for a bachelors degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Music. This is very exciting for us and he is staying motivated and doing great. I am really very proud of him. We have gone through many and I mean many issues with careers in the last three years and it gets a little frustrating for us all. This is a little hope for job security for the future.

Annaleah will be turning 1 this weekend. We are having a birthday party for her on Saturday. We, Anna and I, have been spending a lot of time getting ready for the big event! She has been such a trooper. In and out of the car over and over again. She just goes along for the ride in the shopping cart wherever I take her without a peep. She does like to take off her shoes and socks when I am not looking and drop them on the ground in the store though. We were at Party City the other day when she did that and thankfully a woman found us to return the shoe before we left. Annaleah is such a character. She is a hyper little girl with a lot of personality. I can't believe she will 1 already!

Today is a day of girl time. Jaelyn, my 9 year old step daughter, is off school and she is spending the day with Annaleah and me. We will be going to library and running last minute errands. Later today Talaya, my 5 year old step daughter, will be joining us. They will both be here for the weekend. The party is a Dora Halloween party. The kids will be wearing costumes, so I am very excited to see what the girls have picked out this year!!
