Ending November

We had been planning on going to the game on Friday night to celebrate my 29th birthday with our friends CaJuan and Marcy. CaJuan ended up in the hospital Thursday night due some illness that he has struggled with his whole life. It got really bad this time, and he is still in the hospital. I would give more details, but I don't think it is my place to share all :) Anyways, we visited him there instead of going out with them. He seemed to be feeling better at the time, so we chatted for a while, had some dessert and Terrell and I went to the game alone.

We got to the game at the end of the first quarter and it seemed hopeful that the Timeberwolves might actually make a game out of it. They were playing the Boston Celtics with the return of KG, so it was a big deal. The Wolves blew it though in the third quarter and it was actually pretty disappointing. But oh well. Terrell, Anna and I went to lunch that day at Pizza Luce. It was really good. We shared hot wings and pizza! YUM! Annaleah was so good that day, it must have been her little present to mommy!

CaJuan wasn't feeling good at all on Saturday or Sunday. He was feeling very bad actually. We visited him again on Saturday and that was hard to see him that way. He was moved to the ICU. Today was a hard day for him also, but he looked better, not saying that he felt better, but there is "talk" from the doctors that he might get to go home this week.

It is really hard to see a friend in such trouble with their health. It's sad and really makes me think about the things we take for granted in life. He is in my prayers and we love him very much.

I can't believe how fast November has flown by. It is totally crazy how fast time flies. Next week is already December. WOW! I am looking forward to Terrell having Thursday and Friday off this week and looking forward to Thanksgiving. We find out on Monday if the baby is a boy or a girl. We are totally excited for that!!!!

Timberwolves Games

Terrell won Timberwolves tickets this week. We went to the game last night. They were great seats. We were in the the 6th row. They actually won. It was their second win of the season. It was last minute that he got the tickets. My friend Marcy offered to watch Anna. It worked out great, I was at her house when T called so Anna just stayed with her.

I got Annaleah's allergy tests back. She has no food allergies! That is great, though it does not explain the really bad skin issues. Hopefully she will just grow out of it. We had a pretty low key week. She had a busy week I guess, spending lots of time with lots of people. She spent last night with Marcy and CaJuan. Today she spent a few hours with grandpa while I went to the doctor. She also got to play with her friends at Lifetime 4 days this week. She will spend tomorrow night with grandma and grandpa while we go out for my birthday for a few hours.

We are going to another Timberwolves game! We had already bought those tickets before Terrell won the other ones. We are going with Marcy and CaJuan. We are going to dinner at Pizza Luce before the game. I am really excited. Also I will be spending time with Jenni during the day. I will let ya'all know how it goes.

Doctor Visit

I took Annaleah to the doctor yesterday for her 1 year check up. The visit took an hour and a half!! It was very informative. She got 4 shots and it did not stop there. The doctor decided it was time to do some allergy testing because of her severe eczema. I am very happy about that. Her eczema is so bad it makes me so sad for her. Her arm is now wrapped in what looks like a mini cast, but it's just around the middle of her arm. It seems to be getting a little better since it has been wrapped up. The doctor also prescribed new medicine for her that will hopefully be better. It was awful when they were drawing her blood for the testing though. They started with the right arm because the left arm is the sore arm. They put the needle in and just dug around. They never found any blood, so they switched to the left arm and tried not to hurt her sore. They had problems with that arm too. They dug around for a long time and never even got enough blood, but they didn't want to poke her again since it was already so bad. I felt helpless, like I should make them stop and get up and take her home. But the testing needs to be done so we can figure out what is going on. I just hope that even though they didn't get as much blood as they wanted, that they have enough to do all of the testing.

I took the bumper off of her crib today so now she thinks her crib is a giant jungle gym to jump around and play in. She is up there right now playing, trying to avoid going to sleep! We just got back from the grocery store a little while ago. I am trying to make new recipes and get away from our usual burgers, chilli, tacos etc.... If anyone has any recipes that are EASY let me know. I am looking for new ideas.

We have a busy rest of the week meeting with friends. Oh yeah, and only 20 days left until we find out if the new baby is a boy or a girl! I am super excited about that. Of course I will be letting everyone know as soon as I know!

Long Day

I went to vote on Tuesday and it was a little bit of a hassle. I had my dad come over to watch Annaleah and the place was just down the street, so i thought it would be a piece of cake! Nope not so easy. I have not renewed my license since we moved and could not find one bill with my name on it!! After being sent home from the polls I did find a random piece of mail addressed to me from the garbage company and they accepted that. Thank goodness otherwise I would have had to go to the DMV and that is never fun! I must say that I am not surprised, but a little disappointed with how the election turned out. I will just trust in God and try not to worry about it. With that being said, I need to GET OVER IT!

Also this week there was not one, not two, but THREE cases of head lice reported at my work! That is really gross to me, and now I feel creepy crawly. I have done all that I can to keep Anna and myself clear from it, but we have spent some time in there this week. So far so good though! Then today Annaleah seems to be sick. She has thrown up a couple times and often sounds like she is going to. The first time was after breakfast and she seemed a little disturbed about it, and the second time was out to lunch with grandpa. We were at Chilli's. She didn't seem to upset about that but I felt kinda bad for those around us. I am not sure if they even saw it. I feel really bad for her because she cannot communicate clearly to me and I want to be able to help her. I am not sure if she has the flu or what is going on. But the doctor told me to just give her clear liquids for the rest of the day and no food. I feel so bad because she has to be hungry, she hasn't eaten since noon! I feel so clueless on how to help her. If she could talk I would at least know if she could eat a little.

Since Anna is sick, I missed two classes at work and a I will be missing my shift tomorrow morning. She has to be symptom free for 24 hours. I hope she will be feeling better soon. We have been just hanging out at home for the second half of today and probably will be tomorrow as well. We get a little stir crazy though.

Terrell is at class and I am waiting for him to get home. We don't get to spend too much time just hanging out these days. He is so busy with school and work. They had midterms this week so he is half way done with this semester! Work seems to be going really well for him too. I am so greatful that he is doing so well. He seems to be pleased as well.

I am looking forwad to the weekend. Talaya will be coming on Saturday and I am excited to see her. I think we will have another bonfire this weekend. I had one last weekend with the girls. We made smores and had lots of laughs. It was nice "girl time" as the kids would say!

Halloween

We started of our activities for the day with a trip to the mall to meet Marcy, Scott, Erin, and Madison. We had some lunch and the kids played for a while in the play land. This is a picture of Annaleah driving the hot dog truck!

When we were done we came home to take a nap to get ready to go to Grandma's for trick or treating.

We went to my parents house to take Anna to a couple neighbors houses. We really only went to two houses but she had fun and so did we. Terrell pulled her in her new wagon that she got for her birthday. Anna dressed up as a pumpkin!

When we were all done outside we went back to Grandma's so Anna could count her candy! She loved it! When we were all done we went home and she went right to bed. I think she had a great time!

Our week so far

Not much going on around here. Keeping busy, but nothing fancy has happened this week. Our friend CaJuan moved out this past Sunday so that has been an adjustment around here. We already miss him and it has only been a few days!

On Monday Annaleah and I went to meet Terrell for lunch. We were on our way to meet Marcy but we were being too slow, so we missed out on that at saw dad instead. It was nice to be able to spend some time with him since we see little of him these days with him being busy with school and work! Tuesday I worked and that wasn't too exciting. Today Anna and I were on time and actually got to hang out with Marcy and Scott. Scott is the little boy she nannies for. We met at Target for lunch and some shopping. Then we went to Cub for a little more shopping! Annaleah was really good today, we didn't lose any shoes or socks at the store.

When we were done shopping I notice Anna's eye was a little messed up. Not really sure what happened, but underneath the eye started to bleed.... so we made a special trip to the doctor. Of course they said they didn't know what was wrong with it and just to watch. I feel like that's the same advice I get everytime they tell me to come in. Which makes me wonder why I continue to go in, but I am a mom and I just want to know that my baby is ok. But some good did come out of the visit... Turns out she has a bad infection in her arm so we got some meds for that. Good thing because I wasn't really noticing that her arm was that bad since she had long sleeves on all day. She has Eczema and it does get really bad on her arms and legs. It used to be on the left side of her face and her forehead, but she grew out of that. Her arms and legs bother her really bad and they get pretty bad/infected often, so I am happy that we got another rx today. Hopefully she will be feeling better by tomorrow, and hopefully the eye gets better too.

Tonight we went to church and then afterwards we went to Applebees with some friends. We just got home about a half hour ago. Anna is now on bed, I am wide awake, and Terrell is asleep on the couch. He still has to write a paper that is due tomorrow, so he will be waking up soon! Oh how I am glad to be done with school. I don't miss those days! That's all for now. Sweet dreams to all!

Happy Birthday Annaleah

Saturday started out with a 5k for Annaleah, Jaelyn, and me. We met up with my brother Chris, his wife Erin, his daughter Norah, Erins mom, Kris, Erins sister Sara and her two kids, Brooke and Jaxson. We walked around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis for the Monster Dash. It was a lot of fun with lots of costumes and candy. We were prepared for the cold, but it really was not that bad.

Following the race we prepared for a birthday party! Annaleah had her 1st birthday this weekend. We celebrated with a Dora the Explorer party on Saturday. She had a blast! A little crabby at first but once the food was brought out, so was her smile! She is so funny about her love for food! The kids dressed up in costumes for the party. Anna was a pumpkin, Talaya a Rockstar Princess, Jaelyn a Vampire Cowgirl, Norah was Hello Kitty, Brooke was a Princess, Jr was a Dinosaur, and Jaxson was Curious George. We ate fried chicken and potatoes and the kids played and watched a short movie. Annaleah was given many great gifts. She really loves them! She got a little baby doll and a stoller that she can walk behind and push. This is really exciting because she had a little lion that does the same thing, and she couldn't do it, but she can do the stoller like a pro! She has been playing with it pretty much nonstop during playtime since she got it. She may be one step closer to walking on her own. She also had her own little chocolate cake to enjoy. Some of you know how much she loves to eat... well she loved it so much, she threw up when she was done! She felt better right away and went back to playing.

Sunday was her real birthday. Annaleah was still really tired from the day before so we didn't do much after church. She napped for a long time until we went to small group at the Coopers in the evening. We were going to do a little celebrating when we got home, but we just watched a little Dora Halloween, played with the new toys and read some of the new books. Shortly after that Anna was ready for bed.

It's crazy how fast the time goes. I cannot believe that she is 1 already. It is so amazing to watch her grow. I was telling Terrell how much I love her last night and it's just so crazy, because I feel like I love her more everyday. I also feel like I need to tell him this everyday! I am so excited to see what this next year brings with her, but I don't want time to just fly by. I want to be able to enjoy every moment of it. I am just so grateful to be blessed with her as my child. A lot changes in a year in the life of a Ferguson. By the time Annaleah turns 2 she will be a big sister! I look forward to watching her grow! Happy Birthday again to my baby girl!

Changes of Life

It's Friday already and I don't know where the week went, but I am not complaining! This week was a very exciting week for our family. We are going through a lot of changes. Terrell was unexpectedly laid off this summer and went back to work with a new job this past Monday for the first time in three or more months. He also started school at the end of September. He is going for a bachelors degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Music. This is very exciting for us and he is staying motivated and doing great. I am really very proud of him. We have gone through many and I mean many issues with careers in the last three years and it gets a little frustrating for us all. This is a little hope for job security for the future.

Annaleah will be turning 1 this weekend. We are having a birthday party for her on Saturday. We, Anna and I, have been spending a lot of time getting ready for the big event! She has been such a trooper. In and out of the car over and over again. She just goes along for the ride in the shopping cart wherever I take her without a peep. She does like to take off her shoes and socks when I am not looking and drop them on the ground in the store though. We were at Party City the other day when she did that and thankfully a woman found us to return the shoe before we left. Annaleah is such a character. She is a hyper little girl with a lot of personality. I can't believe she will 1 already!

Today is a day of girl time. Jaelyn, my 9 year old step daughter, is off school and she is spending the day with Annaleah and me. We will be going to library and running last minute errands. Later today Talaya, my 5 year old step daughter, will be joining us. They will both be here for the weekend. The party is a Dora Halloween party. The kids will be wearing costumes, so I am very excited to see what the girls have picked out this year!!
